In preparation for a program of such exceptional scale and significance, the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra (VNSO) proactively undertook rehearsals, program preparation, and artistic coordination well in advance of the event. Given the high standards required for precision, ensemble cohesion, and the solemn character of a national-level ceremony, the rehearsals were conducted with great discipline and focus, ensuring both artistic quality and the ceremonial requirements of the program.

The musicians of the VNSO continued to play a leading role in shaping the artistic direction, working collectively to develop and refine the program throughout the rehearsal process. Their efforts contributed to achieving consistency in sound, musical style, and performance spirit. Close coordination among the conductor, the musicians of the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, and the guest artists ensured that the program was presented in a unified, dignified, and artistically accomplished manner.

Participating in the 81st Anniversary of the National Day holds special significance for the Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra. The event was particularly distinguished by the presence of General Secretary and President Tô Lâm and other current and former leaders of the Party and State, as well as representatives of the Diplomatic Corps in Vietnam. In his address at the ceremony, General Secretary and President Tô Lâm emphasized the significance of National Day, expressing gratitude to President Hồ Chí Minh and paying tribute to generations of revolutionary leaders, heroes and martyrs, and the people who had contributed and sacrificed for the independence, sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of the nation. HISATADA OTAKA - FLUTE CONCERTO OP.30B

Otaka began sketching his Flute Concerto in 1948, when Japan was still under Allied occupation. In 1951, he revised and expanded the work for a larger orchestra. The concerto is a representative example of the flute concerto repertoire in twentieth-century Japan. Rich in lyrical expression, it combines technically demanding solo passages with gentle, flowing melodies, set within a balanced orchestral structure. The flute writing is both agile and richly varied in colour.
